Poshmark fees explained
Poshmark takes a flat $2.95 on sales under $15, and 20.0% of the sale price on items $15 and up. That is the whole seller fee: no per-order fee, no separate payment-processing fee. The buyer pays shipping and tax on top, so your payout is simply the sale price minus that commission. To see the exact payout on your own item, use the Poshmark fee calculator.
One threshold, two fees
Poshmark runs the simplest structure of the major resale apps. A single price point, $15, decides which of two fees you pay:
- Under $15: a flat $2.95. The same few dollars whether the item sells for $5 or $14.
- $15 and up: 20.0% of the sale. A straight fifth of the price, with no fixed add-on.
Because the flat fee is fixed, it is a small share of a $14 sale and a large one of a $4 sale. Above the threshold, the 20.0% is the same slice at every price, so a $25 item and a $250 item lose the identical fraction to Poshmark.
Poshmark fees by sale price
Watch the fee jump from the flat $2.95 to 20.0% at $15, then hold steady as a share of the sale. Item price only; the buyer pays shipping and tax separately:
| Sale price | Poshmark takes | Effective % | You keep |
|---|---|---|---|
| $8.00flat | − $2.95 | 36.9% | $5.05 |
| $12.00flat | − $2.95 | 24.6% | $9.05 |
| $15.00 | − $3.00 | 20.0% | $12.00 |
| $25.00 | − $5.00 | 20.0% | $20.00 |
| $50.00 | − $10.00 | 20.0% | $40.00 |
| $100.00 | − $20.00 | 20.0% | $80.00 |
The flat $2.95 applies below $15; the 20.0% applies at $15 and up. Source: Poshmark published fee schedule, verified August 31, 2026. Run your own numbers in the Poshmark fee calculator.
What Poshmark does not charge you
Poshmark keeps the seller side deliberately plain. There is no per-order fee and no separate payment-processing fee, unlike Etsy's three-fee stack or Depop's fixed 45 cents. Buyers pay a flat shipping fee and any sales tax at checkout, on top of the item price, so neither reaches your payout. That is why a Poshmark payout is the easiest to predict of the major resale apps: sale price, minus one commission, done.
How Poshmark compares
Poshmark's 20.0% is usually the largest single seller cut of the mainstream resale apps, but its fashion-focused audience often supports higher prices that offset it, and the flat-fee tier can beat percentage models on the very cheapest items. Common questions
How much does Poshmark take from a sale in 2026?
Poshmark takes a flat $2.95 on sales under $15, and 20.0% of the sale price on items $15 and up. That is the only seller fee. On a $50 item, Poshmark takes $10.00 and you keep $40.00. The buyer pays shipping and any sales tax separately, so neither comes out of your payout.
At what price does Poshmark switch from $2.95 to 20%?
At $15. Below that, you pay the flat $2.95; at $15 and above, you pay 20.0%. The flat fee is a bargain on a $14 sale (about 21.1%) but steep on a $4 one (about 73.8%), so very cheap listings are where the flat fee bites hardest.
Does Poshmark take a cut of shipping or sales tax?
No. Buyers pay a flat shipping fee and any applicable sales tax at checkout, on top of the item price. Poshmark's commission is calculated on the item's sale price alone, so shipping and tax never touch your payout. That is why a Poshmark payout is simply the sale price minus the commission.
Is there a separate payment-processing fee on Poshmark?
No. Unlike Etsy or Depop, Poshmark does not add a separate seller payment-processing fee. The flat $2.95 or 20.0% commission is the entire seller cut, which makes Poshmark payouts the easiest to predict of the major resale apps.
