About FlipFees
FlipFees builds free, accurate seller fee and profit calculators for people who resell online. The goal is simple: let you see your real payout and profit before you list, without guesswork or a spreadsheet.
Why this exists
Marketplace fees are deceptively complicated. eBay alone has a different final value fee for dozens of categories, tiered rates above certain price thresholds, a per-order fee, Store-subscription discounts, Top Rated Plus discounts, promoted listing rates, and surcharges for international buyers or below-standard accounts. Most "fee calculators" ignore half of that and hand you a number that is quietly wrong. We built FlipFees because we got tired of reconciling estimates against real eBay invoices and finding they did not match.
How we keep the numbers accurate
Every fee in our calculators is modeled directly from each marketplace's own published fee schedule — not from third-party summaries. Our eBay fee engine encodes the full per-category tier structure, the $0.30/$0.40 per-order fee, Store rates, and the documented surcharges and discounts, so the math matches how eBay actually bills a sale.
- We cite the source schedule for each marketplace and show a "fees verified" date on every calculator.
- When a platform changes its fees, we update the underlying data file and the verification date — the calculator and the on-page fee tables update together, so they never drift apart.
- We label estimates as estimates. Promotional credits, dispute outcomes, and account-specific rates can shift your final invoice, and we say so.
Who builds it
FlipFees is an independent project built and maintained by a small team of resellers and software developers. We are not employed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by eBay, Mercari, Poshmark, or any other marketplace. We have no access to your account and never ask for your login — the calculators run entirely in your browser and store nothing about your items.
How FlipFees is funded
The calculators are free and always will be. To cover hosting and the time it takes to keep fee data current, FlipFees may display advertising and may earn a commission from some links to third-party products or services.
